Many people experience adversity, wondering what happened to their life. They may have difficulty navigating relationships, are questioning their gender identity, or feel under pressure at school or work, unsure of how to make it through the day. Moments like these can be overwhelming, but with guidance and support, many can not only survive but flourish. I teach clients skills to help them tackle daily challenges. My experience working with LGBTQ+ youth and young adults prepared me to help clients overcome adversity and explore their identities. My goal is to help clients challenge unhelpful thoughts that wear them down emotionally to promote problem-solving during times of stress. I hope that when my clients end therapy, they feel empowered to continue growing and even inspire others to grow.
