  • I am a modern, urban therapist. I understand that self-care, a fad diet, a worksheet, or deep breathing is not going to fix a culture that is making us feel burned out and inadequate. I believe that you are the expert on your life and you’re probably doing a great job with what you’ve got to work with. Let’s build on the things that are realistic and relevant to you and see if there’s unnecessary stuff that’s holding you back. If I’m doing my job right, you’ll leave our sessions feeling seen, heard, understood, and accepted. You’ll have some skills to practice, some patterns or behaviors to look out for, and hopefully a little more self-compassion. You may even laugh at a few of my zingers.

I am very experienced in working with nontraditional relationship structures and expansive gender identities. My specialty is stress management, which can take many forms- turning the volume down on anxiety, tending to a relationship on the rocks, setting boundaries at a demanding job, or finding individualized ways to cope. I am often at my capacity for providing couples therapy but I do maintain a waiting list.

To keep costs down and to provide consistent care, I am virtual-only. I am licensed in CA and MD. I work east coast hours so it is unlikely that I will have availability after 3pm pacific time. No insurance accepted, but my rates are very reasonable by bay area standards.
