Laura earned her Master's degree in 2016 at John F. Kennedy University in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). Laura’s passion for helping those in need began in 2000 where she worked at a teen crisis hotline based out of the Greater Los Angeles area for the next three years. Laura received her undergraduate degree from University of California at Santa Cruz in Sociology. From 2015-2017 Laura continued to gain experience at the John F. Kennedy Community Center in Sunnyvale and Stevens Creek Elementary in the Cupertino School District, supporting elementary age children and their parents through various life cycle changes.
In July, Laura studied with John & Julie Gottman where she underwent training in furthering her knowledge and experience for working with couples, while they navigate the twists and turns within their relationship. Further competence in working with alternative families is a passion of Laura's and the populations she loves to work with.
