Facing life as a queer, trans, non-monogamous, or kinky person today can be filled with challenges - both internal and external. Many of my clients straddle two or more cultures, sexualities, or family and community structures, and the expectations placed upon them by existing simultaneously in different worlds. They may have trauma from their childhoods they would like to heal from, feel overwhelmed by the demands of code-switching, or may face challenges with masking neurodivergence or managing chronic health issues while still needing to care for others and trying to succeed in their personal goals. I support clients with these issues from a number of modalities and perspectives; including trauma-informed mindfulness and somatic therapy, radical self-compassion, intersectional feminism, and existential humanistic philosophy. My practice is also informed by Internal Family Systems therapy, an approach that helps clients integrate the many parts of themselves, including the parts that have been impacted by trauma. I enjoy coming up with creative ways to move clients towards their values and help reach improved wellbeing and connection with those around them. Together, we can begin the journey of finding your unique and joyful place in the world. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about therapy with me, and I look forward to meeting you! *** Areas of Expertise: *QTBIPOC in STEM & academia *women, trans, & non-binary community in STEM & academia *ADHD & neurodivergence in QTBIPOC community *managing disability & overfunctioning *first graduates *multiracial/biracial/mixed race experience *activists & healers *queer & trans interracial/intercultural relationships Email: katrina@passionfruittherapy.com
