  • Desiree provides an LGBTQ friendly, gender affirming space. She enjoys working with transgender clients (adults and youth), as well as couples (or relationship structures) that are open or polyamorous, as well as people who practice alternative sexual play and lifestyles.

She began her career in counseling working in Santa Clara County with HIV positive clients. She soon found herself at an internship with Hospice of the Valley, specializing in grief work with both adults and children. At her internship at San Jose YWCA, she worked with a broad spectrum of people dealing with anxiety and disability challenges, to couples work, to children dealing with social and behavioral challenges.

Desiree uses Psycho-dynamic approach, mixed with mindfulness and often CBT to help clients figure out where they have been, where they are, and where they’d like to be with themselves in this world. Desiree brings her experience and therapeutic approaches to her work, helping clients feel supported in a non-judgmental, caring environment.
