Dr. Kolmes honored by Alameda County Psychological Association

The Alameda County Psychological Association (ACPA) has chosen Dr. Keely Kolmes, President and Founder of Bay Area Open Minds as the recipient of the 2018 ACPA Janet Hurwich Award for Leadership and Advocacy.

The Janet Hurwich Award for Leadership and Advocacy was created to recognize and honor an ACPA member who has promoted leadership and advocacy on behalf of the profession of psychology and the communities we serve.

Dr. Kolmes is receiving this award for their work on behalf of sexual and gender expression through founding Bay Area Open Minds, as well as for their work in digital ethics and helping survivors of online harassment.
